Day Classes Monday April 2 & Tuesday April 3
(1) On page 278, read starting with "Avoid an Overly Informal Tone" to page 285.
(2) On the bottom of Page 5 of the blue handout, write 10 current idioms or slang terms; do not use any that are listed on Page 5.
(3)Read the top of blue handout Page 6 "Editing for Clarity" and then read Page 7 "Reference of Pronouns." OMIT EXERCISE 1, TEXT PAGE 246. On the bottom of page 6, in the Exercises for Writing For Clarity,correct only sentences 2, 3, 4, 5, 7.
(4) On Page 8, correct the errors in at least the first fifteen sentences. These are the types of errors that we have covered in the first seven pages of this blue handout. Underline any errors in the sentence; then write a corrected sentence on the handout. These sentences are similar to the sentences that you will have on the test.
