1. Complete the Study Guide for Chapter 11
2. Page 199 of the text gives the GUIDELINES for
Summarizing Information. Follow steps 2, 3, and 4
of the GUIDELINES to complete the summary exercise on
Page 5. of the Study Guide by crossing out technical
information, examples, explanations, or any background
information that readers won't need in order to
understand the paragraph.
3. On the bottom of Page 5. write the remaining words
that you did not cross out. Count and write
the number of words that you wrote.
4. Learn the last six terms and definitions on
Page 12. of the Study Guide.
5. In the Study Guide, read Writing Informational
Memorandums on Pages 9 and 10.
6. Complete Summary Exercise #2 on Page 6 of the
Study Guide and TYPE your summary with a word count.
7. Get a blue scan sheet for the exam next week.
